A television supports different standards such as digital television and high-definition television. The growth in the technology and in the television industry has seen the design of television as a small square box to a flat panel television named LCDs which are capable of producing high resolution and high quality images.

Liquid-Crystal Display Television (LCD TV) use LCD technology to produce images. They are thinner and lighter than traditional TV sets. The same LCD technology can be used to manufacture monitors.LCD TV is a type of high definition display television. It makes use of a five layered technology to display pictures in multiple colors with high resolution in the best quality.

The five layers that compromise to produce pictures are as follows
Backlight
second sheet of polarized glass
polarized glass
liquid crystal solution
a colored pixel mask

Each pixel in the LCD TV consists of a transistor that calculates the alignment of the crystals. The transistor calculates this orientation with the help of electric charges and voltages. The appropriate positioning of the crystals make it to act like a shutter which blocks and allows the backlight to flow through the pixels and thus creates hue that produce good quality images. The power consumption of a LCD TV is much lesser when compared to plasma TV.

One more excellent feature is being non-reflective. This feature of LCD TV makes it the best choice for the environment with various sources of light like windows, glasses and other sources. Since the LCD TV has digital display, all digital devices like computer, cameras and others can be connected to an LCD TV through socket. The content of all digital devices can be easily viewed by simply connecting to the LCD display. The following steps are followed in connecting a digital camera to a LCD television. Make sure the camera is switched off before you carry out this process.

Refer to the manual to find the input sockets on your television or if you yourself know the sockets find it. Trace the RCS jacks (red, yellow, white).These sockets are usually present on the side of the television or at the back of it.

Then you need to find the socket on your camcorder or camera. If you are not able to find it refer to the manual. It might be present in a compartment or you need to open a panel which encloses this socket. This socket will look similar to the one present in the television.

After tracing all the sockets, find the right cables that is used to connect the camera and the television. It acts as the interface between the two. The cable wire usually comes with the camera kit when you buy it or you have to order from the manufacturer separately. You can also buy it from the retail market which sells these cables. Make sure you buy the right one.

Now establish the connection using the interface. One end of the cable has only one pin that has to be connected to the camera. The other end consists of three colored pins that have to be connected to the RCA jack in the television. Ensure the respective color is connected to the respective color socket present on the television.

Now choose the input in your TV through remote to find the source that is connected to your television. Make sure you select the correct input channel and then play the contents of the camera in your television.
