All about LCD TV and its working

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is what it is all about. Technology has changed so drastically that the most common home appliance, the Television too has now added to the group of LCD’s. The working of the LCD TV is by blocking the light. Upon the different voltage charge when passed on through them the liquid crystals untwist making way for the light to pass through it. Depending upon the twist and untwisting of the crystals the displays differ. Hence when the crystals are full twisted it gives out lighter display and when the crystals are fully untwisted it gives way to darker light state. Thus it’s upon the twisting and untwisting of the crystals that the LCD TV we know work on.

Advantages of LCD display over the ordinary displays

LCD TV display good quality picture under any light conditions, one does not have to put on or off lights to get a clear picture from it. The LCD displays gives out a flicker free display and hence it’s not at all a strain for your eyes. The monitor or TV with an LCD can be viewed from any corner of the room as it is supported with a flat screen. The flat LCD monitor or TV again is a stylish and yet a futuristic one when compared to the ordinary monitors or TV.

The dot pitch is one important factor that really shows out the difference in the picture display in an LCD. Sharper images are reproduced when the dots gets closer and closer. The display of the LCD is but yet too improved when compared to Plasma TV displays. Recent studies have shown that the LCD newer versions have come up with a display equally comparable to that of a Plasma display. The larger the screen becomes you will experience the picture may slightly go off or get faded. The chances of this are higher when the screen size gets more than 37”. But there are monitors available with a larger screen but the quality of the picture is in question and make sure you do not end up going for a cheaper brand that assures you high quality picture. If your choice is to get a wider screen then you would better make a choice of plasma monitor than a LCD TV monitor.

The life time of an LCD TV is also impressive and the average lifespan of these televisions are 60000 hours. That is to say that if you are watching your LCD TV for 24 hours continuously as day, then it will surely take 7 full years for your TV to get worn out.

When you buy an LCD TV you should decide on the right screen size based on your budget and your room size where you want to keep it. Consider how you are going to install your TV. The place where you install the device will enhance the beauty of the room, so it is up to you to decide where you want to keep it. You can mount your flat-panel LCD display on almost any wall in your home. The various methods of installing them include ceiling mounts, table top, articulating wall mounts, tilt wall mounts and flat wall mounts.

It is advisable to watch your LCD TV at a reasonable distance. When viewed very closely you can see the pixels of the LCD displays hence let’s go through some list which will give you the idea what distance you have to keep making a perfect picture from your LCD.
